Al-Taj News – The management of Al-Salt Sports Club issued a clarification regarding reports circulating about player Issam Al-Sumairi, confirming that the player’s contract with the club has not been terminated, but that his name was not included in the team’s roster registered with the Jordan Football Association due to an injury he sustained that requires a treatment and rehabilitation period of more than 6 months.
The club’s management explained that Al-Sumairi’s injury occurred while he was training with the national team outside FIFA international windows, without the prior knowledge or approval of Al-Salt Club.
It said that the plan was for the player to remain with the team, while his treatment and rehabilitation were monitored in preparation for his return to participation during the second half of the season, stressing at the same time that the player will receive all his lawful financial dues.
The management of Al-Salt Club said it was surprised that the player published the matter on his social media page without referring to the club’s management or contacting it to clarify the issue, considering that such matters should have been handled through official channels between the player and the club.
The management affirmed its full respect for the player and appreciation for what he has contributed to the club, wishing him a speedy recovery and a return to the pitches in the best possible condition.
The management of Al-Salt Club stressed that any insult, defamation, or publication of false information against the club, its management, or its employees will be dealt with through legal and official channels, and that the measures guaranteed by law will be taken against anyone who oversteps against the club or its management.
